![]() The Town of Russell is located in Lincoln County, Wisconsin. The unincorporated communities of Gleason and Dudley are located in the town and the unincorporated community of Bloomville is partially located in the town. The Town of Russell total area is around 36.30 sq miles with a population of 705, according to the 2025 census. We have the beautiful Prairie River that runs through our community with great Trout Fishing. There are several areas to swim, have a picnic, fish or just relax and enjoy nature. In the Wintertime, silent sports abound. Go cross country skiing, ice fishing or snow shoeing through the woods. If you are looking for something more exhilarating, hop on a snowmobile and take a ride on the trails. Kick it up a notch more at the Gleason Winter Ice Oval Races. The race series runs several times during the winter season and is fun for the whole family.
